Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Approach

Lisa works with humanistic therapy modalities such as the Person-Centred Approach, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Attachment Theory, and Mindfulness.  Solution Focussed Brief Therapy (SFBT) is available to clients who want to focus on a current situation or issue to construct solutions rather than focussing on the problem.  Her goal is to provide a sense of safety, connection, and trust so that the clients can feel supported in attending to their healing and growth. She believes that counselling and psychotherapy is a personal journey of self-awareness.

Counselling Experience and Areas of Interest

Lisa works with adolescents (from 16 years onwards) and adults, from all walks of life and welcomes diversity in all its forms.  She volunteered for five years in the Village Counselling Service in Tallaght.  Some of the presenting issues she works with include anxiety, depression, stress, including work-related stress, anger, guilt, shame, low self-esteem, post-traumatic stress, relationship problems, sexuality, spirituality.  Lisa collaborates with clients on a mind, body, and soul level.
