Psychotherapy Training and Accreditation

Since then Nadia has presented many papers at various congresses and study groups in Ireland and abroad. She is also a co-editor of the recent book Studying Lacan’s Seminars IV and V From Lack to Desire (Routledge). Nadia is a Practicing Analyst (Analyste Practicien ) by Espace Analytique, Paris.

Nadia is fully accredited with I.C.P. (Irish Council for Psychotherapy) and A.P.P.I. (Association for Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis in Ireland) and is a Registered Practitioner.

She works in English and Bulgarian.

Psychoanalysis and the Psychotherapeutic Approach

Nadia’s training and theoretical background is rooted in the psychoanalytic tradition. Psychoanalytic training and formation takes many years and is an ongoing process. In order to become an analyst, one has to undergo their own analysis which usually takes years, participate in seminars, maintain regular contact with a psychoanalytic supervisor and keep up to date with new developments and theoretical approaches.

Psychoanalysis does not apply ready-made models for the patient. Instead Nadia will listen to your story and will help you in the process of finding your own words. Once you have started this process you may discover problems that have burdened you for years and help bring about changes in your life. Although this kind of therapy can take longer than others, the changes that occur during psychotherapy are long lasting.

Psychotherapy Experience and Areas of Interest

Nadia has extensive experience working with people suffering from a variety of problems such as anxiety, panic attacks, eating disorders, obsessional thinking, negative thinking, general unhappiness and lack of motivation, suicidal thoughts, depression, love related issues, loss, low self-esteem, anger issues, self-damaging behaviour.
