Psychotherapy Training & Accreditation

Lorraine is an experienced psychotherapist & supervisor. She holds a BA(hons) degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy from Dublin Business School (DBS). in 2016, Lorraine completed a Diploma in Gestalt Supervision at the Dublin Gestalt Centre.  In 2019, Lorraine did Level 1 in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy.

Lorraine is an accredited psychotherapist & supervisor with the IACP (Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and abides by their codes of ethics.  She is committed to ongoing professional development and has done a number of workshops in Trauma and the Body.

Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Approach

Lorraine’s original training was in person centred, humanistic and psychodynamic psychotherapy.  However, over the years her way of working has evolved and is informed by many different modalities such as Gestalt Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Trauma work.

Counselling Experiences and Areas of Interest

Lorraine works with adults (18+) on a one to one basis. She offers psychotherapy and clinical supervision.

Lorraine has worked therapeutically since 2006, including 10 years with Pieta House.  She has worked with a diverse group of people over the years and is experienced with issues including but not limited to Depression, Anxiety, Bereavement, Self Esteem, Self Harm, Suicide and Trauma.
