Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Approach
Clodagh has been providing support for nearly 20 years. This has deepened her ability to connect with people, which allows her to help you create meaningful changes in your life. Clodagh offers a supportive and compassionate space where you can begin to understand what’s happening for you, at a pace that feels safe and manageable. Her approach is grounded in Person Centered (Talk) Therapy, enriched by a Somatic (Body) Orientated Therapy called The Hakomi Method. We can only change what we are aware of and her approach focuses on helping you access deeper levels of understanding, moving towards meaningful and lasting change
The Hakomi Method allows you to go beyond words alone by paying attention to your body language. This approach gently brings awareness to your underlying patterns, beliefs, emotional responses, and bodily experiences that operate outside of your conscious awareness.
Psychology Training and Accreditation
Clodagh’s career began as a helpline volunteer with the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre. She went on to train as Psychotherapist, qualifying in 2007, and as a Clinical Supervisor in 2017. She was certified as a Hakomi Practioner in 2022. Clodagh has lectured and been a group supervisor in a college for student therapists.
Clodagh is an Accredited Psychotherapist, Clinical Supervisor & Certified Hakomi Practitioner, she is a member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and abides by their code of ethics.
