Psychotherapy Training and Accreditation
Bola is a fully qualified integrative psychosexual and relationship therapist, providing psychotherapy, sex therapy, and couples therapy to individuals and couples. She holds an MSc in Human Resource Management from London Southbank University.
Bola obtained a postgraduate qualification from Middlesex University, specialising in sex and relationship therapy. Since qualifying, she has furthered her training with a one-year Advanced Couples Therapy course at the NAOS Institute, London.
As an accredited member of The College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT), Bola attends regular supervision and adheres to the Code of Ethics and Practice set forth by COSRT. She is committed to her professional development, attending regular workshops, training sessions, and supervision. She also holds full Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance.
Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Approach
Practicing from an integrative perspective, Bola tailors her approach based on the unique needs of her clients. She believes that no two individuals respond to difficulties in the same way, which informs her client-centred approach throughout their therapeutic journey.
Many people find it challenging to discuss their sexual lives and relationships openly. Although issues related to sex and relationships are more common than many realise, few individuals feel comfortable sharing their struggles with others. Therapy provides a unique and confidential space to have these conversations with Bola.
Specific sexual problems treated include erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, phobic vaginismus, discrepancies in sexual desire, anorgasmia (inability to reach orgasm), and intimacy issues.
Bola also has experience working with a range of other issues, including but not limited to:
- Communication
- Relationship difficulties (individuals and couples)
- Family dysfunctions
- Sexual anxiety
- Low desire
- Infidelity
- Attachment difficulties
- Abuse and trauma
- Challenges linked to traumatic events and life transitions
