There’s no set time limit.
Really, there isn’t. How long you attend is completely up to you and what feels right.
That said, most of our therapists suggest starting with around six sessions. It gives you both a chance to see how things are going, whether the approach is working for you, what’s shifted. After that, you can review together, decide if you want to keep going, take a break, or feel you’ve got what you needed.
Some people find a handful of sessions is enough. Others stay longer. It depends entirely on what you’re working through and what you’re hoping to achieve.
Most practitioners recommend weekly sessions. It helps build momentum and keeps the work consistent.
In some circumstances, fortnightly sessions might be possible, but that’s down to the individual therapist and what makes sense for your situation.
Each therapist charges their own fee, which you can view on their profile page. It varies, so have a look to see what fits your budget.
We also offer low-cost counselling at €30 per session for those who need it.
Yes. In general, everything you discuss with your therapist stays confidential. That’s fundamental to the process.
There are some circumstances, legal and ethical ones, where this might not apply. Your therapist will talk this through with you at your first meeting, so you’ll know exactly where you stand.
A session lasts between 50 and 60 minutes, depending on the individual therapist.
