Biography

Valerie has 10 years of experience working with adults on issues such as anxiety, Domestic Violence, family issues, relationship issues, bereavement and trauma.

Valerie’s training was in humanistic and integrative psychotherapy, and takes an eclectic approach, drawing from many modalities, to tailor the therapy to each individual client. These modalities include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT),  Mindfulness, Humanistic, Choice Theory and Person Centred Therapy.  Valerie also integrates Motivational Interviewing, depending on the needs of her clients.

Valerie’s warm empathic style provides a supportive environment so that clients can explore and uncover blocks that may be affecting their overall happiness, helping them find better ways to deal with their problems.

Valerie holds a BA in Counselling and Psychotherapy and a Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) from the IICP Dublin.
