Biography

Tim has experience of working with men and women from all age groups on a broad range of issues such as Anxiety, Depression, Low Self-Esteem, Relationship Issues, Life-Cycle Change, Loss and Bereavement, Work-Related Issues, Sexual Identity, Family Issues, Assertiveness, Body Image, Anger Management, Resilience, Sexual Abuse, Domestic Abuse, Physical Abuse, Trauma and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.

He has a particular interest in how we manage stress/anxiety in our lives. Whilst we all face challenges some people seem to cope better than others. In his work with clients Tim focuses on learning new ways of managing our stress and fostering resilience when things inevitably do not work out exactly as we had envisaged.

In his practice, Tim draws upon many therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness and Compassion-focused therapy, tailoring the therapy to suit each client’s individual needs and requirements.

Tim is a fully accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and attends regular supervision in line with the professional standards of the IACP.
