Biography

Ros has worked in private practice for over 20 years, since 2002, on a wide range of issues, including: bereavement and loss, transitions and life changes, work related issues, trauma, both past and present, anxiety, depression, relationship problems, work and study related problems, general life stresses and personal development.

Ros has a special interest in the impact of life transitions and changes on our wellbeing, whether due to leaving home to work in a different country, or the more varied opportunities open to women whose children are now grown up.  Whether welcome or not, life transitions can come at the price of loss of the familiar, and a step into the unknown. They may impact on our self- confidence and our sense of place in the world.

Ros works on the principle that we should all experience and understand our own unique issues in an open and safe environment.  She draws on both the humanistic and psychodynamic approaches.

Ros is a full member of the Irish Council for Psychotherapy (MICIP).  She is an accredited member and supervisor of the Irish Psycho-Analytic Association, and abides by their code of ethics.  Ros works in English and in Italian.
