Biography

Róisín is experienced in supporting adolescents on a wide range of issues including: Depression, Anxiety, School refusal, Self harming, Suicidal  thoughts, Neurodiversity and more.

As a qualified psychotherapist, working mostly with adolescents and their families. Róisín works with her clients to gain insight and awareness, and to develop the skills and confidence to create a more fulfilling and balanced life.

The adolescent journey is one of meaning-making and to this end, Róisín is committed to supporting the expression of the adolescent’s experience. Through this process the adolescent learns to trust his/her experience and feels acknowledged/validated as an emerging self. And so, for example, Róisín is less interested in the symptoms of the anxiety presentation and more interested in the adolescent’s self-experience and how s/he makes meaning of the anxiety.

As a qualified psychotherapist, working mostly with adolescents and their families, Róisín has supported her clients, using an integrative approach which includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
