Biography

Melisa Mauriño is a highly qualified neurodivergent Psychologist with over 15 years of clinical experience. Her areas of experience include: anxiety and depression, life changes and transitions, grief and bereavement, chronic or life-limiting illness and palliative care, psycho-oncology, clinical and surgical psychoprophylaxis, substance use, migration and identity processes, relationship, family and work-related issues, personal development and emotional well-being. She works affirmatively with LGBTQIA+ individuals and neurodivergent clients.

Melisa’s practice is grounded in psychoanalysis, with deep attention to how language, early significations, and lived experiences shape our subjectivity. She offers a collaborative, integrative space, actively listening and supporting clients to revisit and reframe fixed narratives. This process fosters shifts in how individuals position themselves subjectively, empowering them to explore more effective and fulfilling ways of addressing their challenges.

As a writer, author, and multidisciplinary artist, she brings a creative and reflective sensibility to her clinical work, enriching her understanding of human experience.

Based in Ireland, she is a graduate member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and is currently in the process of IACP accreditation, working under the supervision of an accredited supervisor.
