Counselling Experience and Areas of Interest
Lisa works with adults across a wide range of emotional and relational issues, including anxiety, depression, stress and loneliness, as well as relationship difficulties, questions of identity, and periods of transition or uncertainty. She also supports people who feel stuck, overwhelmed or disconnected from themselves or others, and those trying to make sense of recurring patterns in how they feel or relate to others. Welcoming clients from diverse backgrounds and life experiences, a central part of Lisa's work is helping people develop a kinder, more compassionate relationship with themselves. With curiosity and gentleness, she is interested in how people can begin to notice the unconscious patterns and reactions that shape their experience, and how that growing awareness can gradually open up a different way of being in the world. In addition to her private practice, Lisa provides counselling with the Student Counselling Service at Trinity College Dublin.Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Approach
Lisa offers a warm, non-judgemental space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings and experiences at a pace that feels right for them. She works collaboratively, taking her lead from each client and supporting reflection, self-awareness and growth. As a humanistic and person-centred psychotherapist, Lisa's approach is shaped by a genuine curiosity about how people come to be who they are, and how early relationships and lived experience shape the way we see ourselves and relate to others. Developing awareness of these patterns can allow for greater understanding, compassion and growth. Alongside her clinical work, Lisa has a personal interest in the connection between mind and body. She maintains a regular meditation and yoga practice, and this lived experience is woven through her work. Drawing on mindfulness and an attentiveness to the body and nervous system, she understands emotional wellbeing as something that involves the whole person. Beginning therapy can feel like a big step, and Lisa aims to make that process feel as comfortable and straightforward as possible.Psychotherapy Training and Accreditation
Lisa holds an MSc in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from Turning Point Institute/University College Cork, and a BSc (Hons) in International Business Studies. Before training as a psychotherapist, she spent over a decade working in corporate and international business environments across different cultures and countries, an experience that informs her understanding of workplace pressures, professional identity, and what it can mean to live or work between cultures. As an accredited member of the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP) and the Irish Council for Psychotherapy (ICP), Lisa adheres to their codes of ethics and regularly attends trainings and workshops to support ongoing professional development.
