Biography

Leo has worked with clients who have a diverse range of mental health challenges and issues. He has a special interest and expertise in working with issues around anxiety, bereavement, childhood abuse, depression, gender identity, grief, self-esteem, sexuality, stress, suicide and trauma.

He works collaboratively with clients to identify their challenges, what they want from therapy and decide which therapy approach would suit best. Leo believes that the only way to know what a client wants is to ask them, so he considers client feedback and preferences invaluable. Leo is fully Trauma, Somatic and Neuroscience informed while always incorporating up to date evidence based best practices.

He is also informed by a Multi-Cultural approach to therapy to ensure he does his best in understanding, and being considerate of, any biological, psychological and social factors influencing or impacting on a person’s life. Leo assures his clients that he will work to foster a therapeutic relationship that is safe, collaborative and non-judgemental which provides the foundation for working together to get what a client wants from therapy, grow, develop and flourish in life.

Leo is an Accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP).
