Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Approach
Jimmy brings a flexible and compassionate approach to therapy, understanding that each person's journey is unique. At the core of his practice is a Person-Centered belief that clients, when in a supportive relationship with their therapist, inherently possess the capacity to discover their own path and goals.
Jimmy gently integrates insights from Existential and Family Systems theories among others, to help illuminate the challenges clients bring to therapy. He often incorporates mindful practices like breath-work, groundings, and art to help clients connect with their inner resources.
Psychotherapy Training and Accreditation
Jimmy is a fully qualified psychotherapist his qualifications include a BA (Hons) in Holistic Counselling and Psychotherapy from the International College for Personal and Professional Development (ICPPD). He is a pre-accredited member of the IACP, and adheres to its professional standards, and his ASIST certification ensures he can provide skilled support to those in crisis. Jimmy is also a Yoga teacher and holds a diploma from the Bihar school of Yoga and as a yoga teacher is a member of the British wheel of yoga. He holds a MA in Music Technology.

Jimmy has worked as a therapist with Pro Consult, Talk therapy and Therapy Solutions in Galway Jimmy's holistic outlook is deeply informed by his lifelong passions: he is a dedicated musician and a yoga teacher with over four decades of experience in yoga and meditation. Jimmy has extensive experience in the design, organisation and delivery of training modules, tailored to participants of highly varying abilities, in topics such as: stress management, change management, self-employment, self-care techniques including yoga & meditation, self-awareness & personal growth.
