Biography

Gráinne holds BA (Hons) in Philosophy and Psychology and a MA in Addiction Studies from Dublin Business School (DBS). She also has a  BA (Hons) Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from IICP College.  In 2022, Gráinne commenced another masters, a MSc in Pluralism in Counselling and Psychotherapy with IICP, which is ongoing.  Gráinne recently received a Post Graduate Higher Diploma ( Hons ) in Pluralism in Counselling & Psychotherapy with IICP. Gráinne holds a certificate in Family Behavioural Therapy, ASIST, (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training ) and CAMS  ( Collaborative Assessment & Management of Suicidality ) Gráinne is an accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and abides by their codes of ethics.

Counselling Experience and Areas of Interest

Gráinne has over 20 years’ experience working in acute mental health with the Saint John of God Hospital and the Cluain Mhuire Service where she worked closely with clients who presented with Clinical Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Aspergers, Psychosis, Personality Disorders and Schizophrenia. She has over 8 years’ experience of working as a Counsellor and Psychotherapist in both community services and private practice.  Gráinne previously worked as Clinical Case Manager Specialist in the Student Counselling Service in Trinity College Dublin (TCD), where she delivered Counselling and Psychotherapy to clients who presented with complex additional needs, and liaised regularly with G. Ps and the HSE.
