Biography

Nick is a highly experienced clinical psychologist who has been providing a psychological service on behalf of the HSE for over 20 years.

During his time with the HSE, Nick has gained a wide range of experience assisting adults of all age ranges who have mental health difficulties including depression, anxiety, and phobias as well as other chronic and complex psychological problems.

He also has substantial experience (over 20 years) in the area of neuropsychological and cognitive assessment. This is the technique by which psychometric and cognitive instruments (pen and paper tests, self-report questionnaires and semi structured interviews) are used to aid the detection and diagnosis of brain injury, dementia, and other neurological conditions. He is also skilled in most other forms of psychometric assessment.

He is a chartered member of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) and the Divisions of Neuropsychology and Clinical Psychology. He has obtained a Masters Degree (M.Sc by Research; 1997-99) and his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (D.Clin.Psych.;2002-04).
