Nick’s fee structure:

Nick charges €120 per hour for therapy or assessment. An average session will be an hour although assessment sessions will sometimes be longer. For example, complete neuropsychological assessment (which generally includes between four and five hours of assessment and the composition of a detailed report) generally takes between seven and nine hours.

Psychology Training and Accreditation

Nick is a fully trained clinical psychologist who has been providing a psychological service on behalf of the HSE for over 20 years. He is a chartered member of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) and the Divisions of Neuropsychology and Clinical Psychology. He has obtained a Masters Degree (M.Sc by Research; 1997-99) and his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (D.Clin.Psych.;2002-04).

Counselling Experience and Areas of Interest

During his time with the HSE, Nick has gained a wide range of experience assisting adults of all age ranges who have mental health difficulties including depression, anxiety, and phobias as well as other chronic and complex psychological problems. This has been accomplished using a variety of therapeutic methods, the selection of which depends on the client and their specific difficulties. He also has substantial experience (over 20 years) in the area of neuropsychological and cognitive assessment. This is the technique by which psychometric and cognitive instruments (pen and paper tests, self-report questionnaires and semi structured interviews) are used to aid the detection and diagnosis of brain injury, dementia, and other neurological conditions. He is also skilled in most other forms of psychometric assessment.
