With nearly ten years of experience, Conor has worked with clients from diverse backgrounds who present with a variety of issues and concerns including but not limited to: Anxiety, bereavement and loss, communication skills, depression, emotional regulation, gender and sexual issues, LGBTQIA+, personal development, self-esteem, trauma, relationship difficulties, abuse, transitions in life, self-compassion, self-esteem, confidence, long term illness.Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Approach
Prioritising an open, honest presence, and relational depth, Conor believes in the healing power of a trusting relationship. Working collaboratively with clients, Conor seeks to co-create a place of safety and connection where clients can explore their life-world experiences and bring about change. Conor works primarily from a person-centred perspective, underpinned by a trauma-informed approach. As an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist Conor uses a range of therapeutic skills drawn from different theoretical bases including: humanistic, person-centred, psychosynthesis, CBT, Gestalt.Psychotherapy Training and Accreditation
Conor holds a BA (Hons) in Psychology, accredited with Middlesex University, a MSc. in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy accredited by University College Cork, and a Higher Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from Turning Point Institute. Conor is accredited by the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP) and a registered member of the Irish Council for Psychotherapy (ICP), and he works within the ethical coded of both organisations. Ongoing professional development is a requirement for accreditation with IAHIP. Conor sees this as essential in maintaining and developing therapeutic knowledge and skills.
