Biography

Clíona has worked with clients on a wide range of mental health issues from trauma, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, suicidality, self-harm, trauma and feelings of shame and self-loathing. She has also worked within schools with young people and their families on relationships, drug and alcohol abuse and addiction.

Having spent time working in Temple Street Children’s hospital she has been able to work with a wide range of mental health issues in a clinical setting. Clíona has extensive experience in working with both adults and young people who have experienced anxiety, depression, esteem issues and relationship difficulties.

Clíona has extensive clinical experience supporting both adolescents and adults in a therapeutic setting. Her approach is person centred through an amalgamation of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), solution focused therapy, and Integrative + Humanistic Psychotherapy.

Clíona holds a Clinical MA in Child and Adolescence Art Psychotherapy from University College Dublin and the Mater Hospital, Dublin.

Clíona is a fully accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and a member of ACAP Association of Child Art Psychotherapists.
