Biography

Annette has over 15 years of experience as a Counsellor and Psychotherapist, supporting adults, adolescents, and couples. She provides therapy for a comprehensive range of concerns including but not limited to: anxiety; depression; emotional regulation; low self-esteem; panic; relationship difficulties; self-harm and suicidal ideation; and stress.

Annette views therapy as a safe place for you to explore how you have become who you are and to help empower you in living the life you would like to live. She offers clients a safe, supportive, and accepting environment that is built on trust and confidentiality. In this space, she encourages clients to explore difficulties, possible cognitive distortions, or behavioural presentations and to adjust to a more positive and advantageous lifestyle, through recognising personal strengths, coping mechanisms, and uncovering inner reserves.

Annette works from an Integrative model of therapy, where she incorporates Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Creative Therapy and Psycho-educational modalities.

Annette is an accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist since 2010 and an accredited Supervisor since 2020 with the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP).
