Biography

Anne works with adults on a range of issues including: Relationship difficulties, Trauma & recovery, Anxiety, depression & stress, Low self esteem, Negative thought patterns, Loneliness and isolation, Grief, loss and life change, Work/Life balance, Illness, A general dissatisfaction or feeling “stuck” in life.

Anne offers a warm, supportive and grounded space where clients can explore difficulties, deepen self-awareness, and move towards healthier relationships.

She is passionate about supporting adults through life’s challenges, helping them to reconnect with themselves, and to uncover the resilience they may not realise they possess.

Anne works from a Gestalt psychotherapy perspective, a humanistic and relational approach that focuses on increasing self–awareness, deepening understanding, and supporting authentic connection with self and others.

Anne believes that our past experiences can sometimes shape our sense of self, limiting how we connect with others, cope with life’s challenges, and make choices in the present. With a compassionate blend of gentle challenge and support, Anne helps clients to notice their patterns, develop greater awareness, and choose new ways of responding to themselves and others.

Anne may sometimes work creatively using imagery, dreams and elements of art therapy to support emotional exploration and self-expression.

Anne has a particular interest in somatic awareness and how the body holds emotional experience. Anne believes that reconnecting with the body can be a powerful pathway towards healing and authenticity.

Anne is a fully qualified Gestalt Psychotherapist who completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapy at the Gestalt Institute of Ireland and validated by the Institute of Technology Carlow in alignment with IAHIP and IACP regulations.

Anne is a fully accredited psychotherapist with the IACP (Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy).
