Biography

Anne’s special areas of interest include women’s health, bereavement and loss (including miscarriage and perinatal grief), menopause, anxiety, depression, relationship problems, infertility and general life stresses. 

Anne practices Psychodynamic Therapy, which is an Integrative and Humanistic approach and has also developed an interest in Psychosynthesis, Gestalt and Cognitive Behavioural approaches.

Anne is also a Registered General Nurse and Midwife and has gained many years’ experience working with patients in both the hospital setting and a GP practice. Throughout her nursing career, Anne recognised the need for patients to be given the time and space to be listened to, in an empathetic, congruent environment, away from the clinical setting.

She is a fully accredited member of the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP), and abides by the code of ethics laid down by IACP.
