Counselling Experience and Areas of Interest

Anne has been working with clients over 18 years of age, since 2019. Her special areas of interest include women’s health, bereavement and loss (including miscarriage and perinatal grief), menopause, anxiety, depression, relationship problems, infertility and general life stresses.

Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Approach

Anne practices Psychodynamic Therapy, which is an Integrative and Humanistic approach and has also developed an interest in Psychosynthesis, Gestalt and Cognitive Behavioural approaches. Anne believes in the power of the unique relationship between the therapist and client and feels privileged to be able to facilitate the client in exploring their own subconscious and making sense of their behavioural patterns in a safe, non-judgemental space. Anne’s approach is empathetic and client-centred.

Psychotherapy Training and Accreditation

Anne has completed four years training with The Tivoli Institute, Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin and graduated in 2021 with an MA in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (Clinical). She is a fully accredited member of the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP), and abides by the code of ethics laid down by IACP. Anne is committed to ongoing training and continuous education in her personal and professional development by attending various workshops and training seminars. Anne is also a Registered General Nurse and Midwife and has gained many years’ experience working with patients in both the hospital setting and a GP practice. Throughout her nursing career, Anne recognised the need for patients to be given the time and space to be listened to, in an empathetic, congruent environment, away from the clinical setting.

Anne’s fee is €70 per session
