Biography

Alison works with clients dealing with whatever presentation or issue they are living through. Particular areas of interest include but are not limited to; Bereavement and Loss, LGBTQIA2S+ Issues, Wellbeing & Recovery, Chronic Pain & Illness, ASD Familial Dynamics & ASD Individual Focused, Identity, Trauma, Emotional Disturbance, BPD, Life Transitions, Addiction and Familial Relationship Issues.

Alison welcomes clients from any walk of life. She works in a psychoanalytic capacity which means the sessions are guided by the client’s words and curiosity of themselves and the narrative in which they live through. Whether in crisis, a period of struggle or wanting to explore more of your personhood, what you have to say is very important and through psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic psychotherapeutic work, real change and evolution is possible. Through weekly or twice weekly sessions, you will be able to hear yourself authentically, whether it be for the first time, building upon your understanding of yourself or about a particular issue.

Alison is a fully qualified, pre accredited Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist who holds two Master qualifications; a MSc in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy from University College Dublin and a MA in Applied Psychology (Mental Health) from University College Cork. She currently attends the Freud Lacan Institute Dublin (FLi), where she is furthering her psychoanalytic training in the Programme of Continuing Studies. Her pre-accreditation status (Member PAM010/26) is awarded by the Association for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy in Ireland (APPI)
