Biography

As a qualified Play Therapist Aisling has extensive experience working with children for 14 years. From a young age she had a huge interest in working with children of all ages and has continued to expand her passion and interest in child development.  She uses a mostly non-directive, ‘child centered’ developmentally appropriate approach, towards children. This allows children to develop self-confidence in themselves and in their choices. Children can express their thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a safe, supportive environment.

Aisling has a wide breadth of experience working with children and parents in areas such as Anxiety, Bereavement, Bullying, School refusal, Emotional difficulties, Attachment issues, ADHD, Low self-esteem, Parental separation, Parental imprisonment, Absent parent(s), Autism, Oppositional Defiant Disorder and many more difficulties that parents and children face.

Aisling qualified as a Play Therapist with first class honours (NUIG). She also holds a Degree in Psychology and has further training as a Special Needs Assistant (SNA), a Mindfulness teacher for children as well as Reiki for children.
