Psychotherapy Training and Accreditation
Mark practices humanistic and integrative therapy and holds a Master’s degree in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (Clinical) from the Tivoli Institute, Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin. He also holds a double honours bachelor degree in philosophy and sociology, from Maynooth University, offering a deeper philosophical and sociological lens to both the internal journey of the soul and external journal of life.
Mark is a pre-accredited member of The Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP), and he abides by the code of ethics laid down by the IACP.
Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Approach
Mark’s therapy approach is integrative, humanistic and person-centred, which seeks to build a strong interpersonal relationship with clients. This is built on a foundation of compassion, empathy, respect and trust. He provides a safe non-judgmental space and meets the clients exactly where they are. Mark's wish is for his clients to become empowered and find their own unique path to healing.
He tailors to his clients needs using aspects from various counselling approaches, for example cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) attachment theory, and Gestalt therapy.
Counselling Experience and Areas of Interest
Mark’s particular interests include, although are not limited to, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, sexuality and attachment issues. He is particularly interested and has knowledge and insight into LGBTQIA+ difficulties.
Mark engages in both face to face and online sessions.
Mark's fee is €60 per session
