Psychotherapy Training and Accreditation

Jacqueline is a fully qualified psychotherapist and holds an MSc in Psychotherapy and an Honours Degree in Psychology.  She is an accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and adheres to their code of ethics. She is committed to ongoing professional development and engages in regular clinical supervision to support and guide her work. Jacqueline also has a Masters in Business and an MA in Linguistics which informs her therapeutic work in valuable ways. Her studies in Linguistics deepen her sensitivity to the power of language in shaping experience, while her Business training brings a practical awareness of workplace dynamics, stress, and organisational pressures that many clients face.

Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Approach

Jacqueline offers a compassionate, collaborative space where clients can explore whatever is on their mind, whether it’s a clear issue like low mood or loss, or a more general feeling of unease or dissatisfaction.  Her approach is grounded in respect for the client’s own knowledge of themselves and she combines respect, curiosity and practical support to help clients in making sense of what may be difficult to articulate.  Sessions are tailored to meet the individual needs of each person she works with.

Counselling Experience and Areas of Interest

Jacqueline works with adults across a wide range of issues including anxiety, low mood, grief, and life transitions. She has a particular interest in the emotional and psychological impact of long-term health conditions. Her master's thesis explored the lived experiences of people with Type 1 diabetes, and she continues to work with clients navigating the challenges of chronic health conditions, supporting them in processing the emotional toll, adjusting to change, and finding resilience. In addition to her clinical practice, Jacqueline brings over 20 years’ experience in student support roles within higher education. This work has given her valuable insight into the complex pressures students often face, particularly around identity, stress, performance, and transition. This allows her to offer sensitive, informed support to those navigating the pressures of academic life.
