Aidan holds a BSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Middlesex University (PCI College). His core training is in Person-Centred Therapy, and he has additional training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP), and Relational Life Therapy (RLT). Aidan is a fully accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP).Psychotherapeutic Approach
Aidan offers an integrative and client-focused approach, tailored to individual needs. His work is grounded in Person-Centred Therapy but also includes structured techniques from CBT and DBT when useful. He places strong emphasis on collaboration, psychoeducation, and adapting to client preferences. Aidan integrates body-based awareness through Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, supporting clients in understanding how stress and trauma may show up physically. He works at the client’s pace, prioritising emotional safety. He also draws on Relational Life Therapy when working with relationship challenges.Counselling Experience and Areas of Interest
Since 2022, Aidan has been providing individual therapy both in-person and online. He has worked with anxiety, stress, depression, grief, self-esteem, trauma, relationship issues, and recovery from abuse. His areas of interest include neurodiversity, emotional regulation, resilience, trauma recovery, and relationship dynamics. Aidan aims to create a safe, respectful space for healing, growth, and self-understanding.
