Alan´s Fee is 80 euro per session
Psychotherapy Training and Accreditation
Alan completed his MA in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy at Independent College in 2011 and has been working in private practice since then.
He is a fully accredited member of the IACP (Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) as well as the ICP (Irish Council for Psychotherapy) and is a registered practitioner with the APPI (Association for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy in Ireland).
Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Approach
Alan seeks to create a welcoming atmosphere to put the client at ease and allow them to speak about what has led them to seek support. His clinic is open, non-judgemental and confidential respecting the uniqueness of the person present. His work is focused on building a trusting therapeutic relationship to allow the client explore the causes of their difficulties. In working through present difficulties the client will be encouraged to explore how past experiences might be affecting present day experiences.
Counselling Experience and Areas of Interest
Alan has been working in private practice as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist since 2011. He has presented papers at conferences and published papers in journals. Alan also has extensive experience working in the multinational sector as a manager and understands the stresses that this environment can bring.
His experience includes working with anxiety/panic, depression, lack of meaning, stress, work related issues, relationship problems, sexuality and gender issues, bereavement, self-esteem and OCD/obsessional issues.
