Gráinne’s fee is €100 per session (Additional fees apply where Case Management is required)
Psychotherapy Training and Accreditation
Gráinne holds BA (Hons) in Philosophy and Psychology and a MA in Addiction Studies from Dublin Business School (DBS). She also has a BA (Hons) Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from IICP College. Further qualifications include a Post Graduate Higher Diploma (Hons) in Pluralism in Counselling & Psychotherapy with IICP and a certificate in Family Behavioural Therapy, ASIST, (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) and CAMS (Collaborative Assessment & Management of Suicidality).
In 2022, Gráinne commenced another master’s degree, a MSc in Pluralism in Counselling and Psychotherapy with IICP, which is ongoing. Gráinne is an accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and abides by their codes of ethics.
Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Approach
Gráinne works in an Integrative and Humanistic model, with a person-centred approach. She works with clients at their pace, values the inner strength each client holds, and works collaboratively with each client exploring their individual needs.
Counselling Experience and Areas of Interest
Gráinne has over 20 years’ experience working in acute mental health with the Saint John of God Hospital and the Cluain Mhuire Service where she worked closely with clients who presented with Clinical Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Aspergers, Psychosis, Personality Disorders and Schizophrenia. She has over 8 years’ experience of working as a Counsellor and Psychotherapist in both community services and private practice. Gráinne previously worked as Clinical Case Manager Specialist in the Student Counselling Service in Trinity College Dublin (TCD), where she delivered Counselling and Psychotherapy to clients who presented with complex additional needs, and liaised regularly with G. Ps and the HSE.
Gráinne’s experience includes but is not limited to working with Academic Stressors, ADHD, Anxiety, Bullying, Coercive Control and Domestic Violence. She has also worked with clients experiencing Eating Disorders, Grief and Loss, OCD, Psychosis and Self-Harm. Gráinne is also experienced in working with the Transgender and the LGBTQIA community.
