Brian’s fee is €80 for an individual, €100 for a couple and pro rata for group work

Psychotherapy Training and Accreditation

Brian holds a Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Dublin Counselling and Therapy Centre.  He is a Certified Holotropic Breathwork Practitioner, accredited by GTT (Grof Transpersonal Training) and has a special interest in trauma and recovery.

Brian is also certified in Addiction Therapy from Maynooth University (NUIM).  He has undertaken further study in anxiety (particularly workplace stress), Family Therapy and Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA).

Brian is accredited by the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapists (IAHIP). He undertakes ongoing Supervision in individual and group formats.

Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Approach

Brian’s therapeutic approach in Psychotherapy is Humanistic, Integrative and Person Centred. However, he also utilises other therapeutic modalities such as Brief and Solution Focused appropriates (e.g. for employee assistance). He is influenced by the ideas of mindfulness and self-compassion. Brian also facilitates regular Breathwork Workshops to assist in the integration of trauma.

Counselling Experience and Areas of Interest

Brian has worked as a therapist since 2007 in individual, family, group and workplace settings.

He is particularly interested in anxiety and addiction. He also works with trauma release and integration.  Brian works with couples and families including relationship and sexuality issues.

In addition, Brian works with workplace issues such as stress, bullying and personal development.  He also works with survivors of abuse and rage, and contingent emotional management, bereavement, depression and phobias.
