Counselling and Therapeutic Approach
Natalya is an integrative psychotherapist who uses the psychodynamic approach together with humanistic perspective as the main theoretical framework. She sees her integrative way of working as combining her knowledge and techniques to build a therapeutic relationship that provides her clients with a developmental opportunity, a corrective emotional experience that allows them to understand and accept themselves, their limitations and losses, learn new ways of relating to others, building their strengths, realizing their potential. She is experienced in both brief (solution-focused (CBT) and long-term psychotherapy.
As a relationship therapist, Natalya, works with couples in a collaborative and explorative way to help them to resolve conflict, learn how to communicate better, negotiate and embrace their differences, build and develop true intimacy.
As a psychosexual therapist, Natalya, believes that our sexuality is complex and is interwoven into our very being; it is a part of who we are physically and psychologically. Sexuality is experienced and expressed in thoughts, fantasies, desires, beliefs, attitudes, values, behaviours, practices, roles and relationships. Natalya brings her integrative approach to sex therapy too, helping you to better understand your sexuality and treat the causes as well as the symptoms.
Counselling experience and areas of interest
Natalya enjoys a variety of interests in the area of psychotherapy. She studied mid-life as complex and challenging developmental stage where adults reassess their life, work, relationships, and search for more meaningful experiences while balancing various stresses and roles. Natalya lends her knowledge and experience in human resource management to her work with clients who are going through a job loss, career change and development, workplace conflicts and burn out. For Natalya, relationship therapy is not limited to romantic relationships. The same issues of trust, anger, communication issues are evident between any other two people (parents and adult children, siblings, friends and business partners).
Natalya is an experienced student counsellor. She enjoys working with young people, understands well their sometimes difficult experiences growing up, finding who they are, building their relationships and careers, exploring and accepting their sexuality.
