Pauline’s fee is €75 per session individuals and €85 for couples
Psychotherapy Training and Accreditation
Pauline completed a Diploma in Couples and Relationships Counselling, after completing a MSc in Psychotherapy from Dublin City University (DCU) and a BA(Hons) in Humanities (Psychology). Pauline also holds a Diploma in Arts (Hon) Psychology, Sociology and Literature.
Pauline is committed to on-going training and professional development and participates regularly in seminars and workshops. She is an accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and works according to the IACP code of ethics.
Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Approach
Pauline uses a humanistic, person centered, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) approach. Pauline provides a supportive, warm, non judgemental and safe environment for couples and individuals to explore their problems. She believes that each individual experiences events in their own unique way and she adapts her approach to suit each client’s needs. People experience emotional impact differently and personal childhood experiences influence our beliefs which may cause difficulties in close relationships, as well as other areas of clients’ lives.
Counselling Experience and Areas of Interest
Pauline has over fifteen years’ experience as a relationship and couples counsellor. She worked with a Couple Counselling Agency, prior to joining Mind and Body Works. The main focus of Pauline’s work has been with couples experiencing difficulties in their relationships.
Pauline also works with individuals and has extensive experience working on a one to one basis with individuals in the area of anxiety, self-esteem issues, personal growth in self-confidence and belief, stress at home and in the workplace.
She has also worked with clients referred from psychiatrists dealing with issues such as depression.
