Psychotherapy Training & Accreditation

In 2015, Frank completed a four year training course with Turning Point Training Institute (TPTI) in association with Dublin City University (DCU). Following which, he was awarded a graduate Diploma in Integrative Clinical Psychotherapy.  He has also studies psychology and in 1990 he was awarded an Honors Degree in Psychology from University College Cork (UCC).

Frank is a fully accredited member of the Irish Institute of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and abides by their codes of ethics.

Counselling & Psychotherapeutic Approach

Frank uses a humanistic and person-centred approach to his work. Therefore, focusing on the individual’s needs are his priority. To support this way of working, Frank uses an integrative approach comprising different combinations of therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and aspects of Dialectic Behaviour Therapy (DBT).

Counselling Experience & Areas of Interest

Frank has worked within the Irish mental health system for over 25 years. In doing so, Frank has gained extensive knowledge, experience, wisdom and skill which he now brings to his counselling and psychotherapy work.

Frank’s areas of interest are positive mental health and the full integration of self. Issues addressed include working with anxiety, depression, OCD, relationships, work life stress, trauma, communication skills, self-esteem and self-worth, with an overall focus on promoting positive mental health and well-being.

The client will always be guaranteed a confidential, kind and empathetic therapeutic experience with Frank.
