Psychotherapy Training & Accreditation

Réamonn completed his Master’s Degree in Psychotherapy at Dublin Business School. He is a fully accredited member of the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy and works under the code of ethics of this organisation.

Réamonn has also completed a Master’s Degree in Health Promotion and a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychology. Before becoming a psychotherapist, he worked as a Lecturer and Researcher in Mental Health Promotion at the University of Galway.

Counselling & Psychotherapeutic Approach

The core philosophy of Réamonn’s practice is person-centred. Réamonn provides a safe, non-judgemental and empathic space. He supports clients to explore the important issues in their lives, to increase their self-awareness and resilience, to relate to themselves and others in more authentic and fulfilling ways, and to make more empowered life choices.   Réamonn practices an integrative style of therapy, using elements from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psychodynamic, Mindfulness and Body Focussed Interventions that best suit the clients needs.

Counselling Experience & Areas of Interest

Réamonn began his career as a psychotherapist at the Loreto Centre in Crumlin, Dublin and has worked at Mind and Body works since 2020. He has experience working with a variety of issues including OCD/intrusive thoughts, depression/low mood, anxiety, panic attacks, trauma, addiction, relationship difficulties and abusive relationships, and stress in the workplace. Réamonn has completed additional training in CBT for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Breathwork and Compulsive Sexual Behaviour.
