Katherina’s fee is €70 per session.
Psychotherapy Training and Accreditation
Katherina holds a Degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy with IICP College. She has studied and received qualifications in CBT and Gestalt therapy, and has completed a Diploma in Hypnotherapy & Psychotherapy where she received qualifications in Parts Therapy for self-empowerment and Psycho Analysis. The psychoanalytic approach focuses on deciphering how the unconscious mind governs conscious processes in ways that interfere with healthy psychological functioning
Katherina is a fully accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (IACP) and abides by their codes of ethics and practice. She regularly participates in ongoing training and professional development and attends regular clinical supervision.
Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Approach
Katherina works as a humanist and integrated psychotherapist incorporating approaches such as person-centred therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. She uses a combination of Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy to increase relaxation that allows for improved focus and concentration. Hypnosis can help us gain control over behaviours we wish to change and allows us to cope better with anxiety and stress.
Katherina is a compassionate therapist with a mature attitude and personality which helps her work with vulnerable adults. She believes we all have the answers within ourselves, we just need some help and guidance to get there which Katherina offers in a a confidential, safe and non-judgemental way.
Counselling Experience and Areas of Interest
Katherina has worked in the voluntary sector in a charity based counselling service and in an addiction service in Ashford. She has a vast experience of working with issues around, anxiety, depression, loss and grief, low self-esteem, trauma, abuse, suicidal ideation and addiction.
Katherina works as a therapist with adults in a one to one setting. She has worked online with EAP (Employee Assistance Programmes) and with online addiction services. She has a keen interest in combining hypnosis and psychotherapy in her work when dealing with a wide variety of presenting issues.
