Joanna studied various theories and approaches to psychotherapy and has a humanistic-integrative approach to her practice. That means that she believes in seeing each client as a unique person with inner potential for self-healing and self-actualisation. She draws on a range of different psychotherapeutic traditions to facilitate the therapeutic process, including person-centred therapy, psychodynamic, attachment therapy, somatic/body psychotherapy, existential and gestalt.

Joanna works in a way that focuses on the mind-body connection appreciating the power of the unconscious mind, the wisdom of the body, and the impact our past relationships and experiences had on our present.

As a therapist, Joanna values connection, transparency, unconditional acceptance, and authenticity.
