Conor Young is a dedicated and fully accredited psychotherapist with a deep commitment to supporting people on their journey toward healing and self-discovery. He holds a Higher Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy as well as a Master’s in Psychotherapy. As a fully accredited member of the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapists (IAHIP), he adheres to the highest professional and ethical standards, ensuring a safe, confidential, and nurturing therapeutic environment for his clients.

Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Approach

Conor’s approach is rooted in Humanistic Psychotherapy, which emphasizes each person’s innate capacity for growth, resilience, and self-understanding. His work is guided by the core conditions of empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard. While his practice is client-led, meaning each session is shaped by the client’s needs and pace, he also integrates a range of therapeutic approaches, including psychodynamic, existential, phenomenological, and body psychotherapy. This allows him to tailor his work to each individual, meeting them where they are in the ‘here and now’ and supporting them in ways that feel most meaningful and effective for them.

He has supported clients struggling with anxiety, depression, anger, loneliness, and low self-worth, as well as those navigating grief, bereavement, trauma, and issues with addiction.
