Psychotherapy Training and Accreditation

John holds a Higher Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy and a MA(Hons) in Psychotherapy from Dublin Business School (DBS).  He also holds a BSc Pharm, MPSI.

He is an accredited member of the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP) and abides by their codes of conduct.

Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Approach

John’s approach is Humanistic and Integrative, drawing on Rogerian, Psychodynamic, Existential, Gestalt and Body-based/sensorimotor modalities.  His approach is developmental and collaborative, supporting the client’s own self agency and sense making capacities.

Progress and healing are client led and a joint approach is used in determine the style of therapy that best suits the client needs and progression.

John has over 30 years’ experience working as a healthcare professional supporting individuals from all walks of life in meeting their healthcare challenges and promoting wellness.

He has worked in many different healthcare roles and in different commercial and corporate settings and understands the challenges that these can bring.
