Training and Accreditation

Jessica is a fully trained Counselling Psychologist having completed my Doctorate in Counselling Psychology at Trinity College Dublin, which built upon her earlier B.A. in Psychology from UCD and postgraduate diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy from DCU.

This diverse training allows her to integrate techniques from multiple therapeutic modalities into her work with clients. Jessica has training in person-centered, emotion-focused, psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioural, mindfulness, family, couple, somatic, and attachment-based approaches, adapting her style to best suit each individual.

As a member of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI), Jessica provides therapy in accordance with their professional ethics and standards of care. Her goal is always to offer clients a warm, safe environment for self-discovery, utilizing her breadth of training to facilitate lasting growth and healing.

Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Approach

Jessica is passionate about helping her clients develop self-understanding, self-acceptance, and self-compassion. She aims to create a warm, non-judgemental space where clients feel safe to explore the deeper roots of their difficulties, so that lasting healing and fulfilment can unfold.

Jessica’s approach is integrative, blending humanistic, psychodynamic, attachment-based, and systemic perspectives. She draws on emotion-focused and somatic techniques to help clients connect with themselves through their felt sense and bodily awareness. By tuning into the messages of the body and emotions in the present moment, core patterns of feeling and relating can be brought into awareness. Together, therapist and client, can unravel these patterns and make space for deeper self-understanding and new patterns to emerge. Jessica’s focus on emotions and the body allows repressed material to be processed in a gentle way, so that new perspectives and ways of relating to oneself and others can unfold.

While Jessica provides solution-focused support in the short-term when needed, she feels that therapy is most transformative as a longer-term endeavour. By committing to the process, core patterns can be brought to light with care and patience. Jessica’s clients find that they develop a deeper understanding of themselves and how past experiences shape current struggles. With this insight, lasting change becomes possible.

Jessica’s goal is that each person leaves therapy feeling empowered, with greater self-knowledge, emotional awareness, and compassion for themselves and others. If clients are seeking a therapist to take these steps with them, Jessica would be honoured to listen and support them in moving towards healing and wholeness.
