Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Approach

Annette believes that our past experience can shape our current way of being in the world and believes that by creating a solid therapeutic relationship, clients can safely explore their issues and begin to make sense of their story.

Underpinning her work is the belief in the capacity of each individual to access the inner resources and personal agency to affect positive change in their life.

Her integrative, client-centred approach recognises the uniqueness of each individual and this enables her to work collaboratively with the client at their pace.

Counselling Experience and Areas of Interest

Annette works with individuals aged 18 years and upwards.

Over the course of her training, Annette worked and continues to work, with individuals dealing with issues such as low self-esteem, trauma, abuse, stress, anxiety, depression, and grief.

Prior to her training in psychotherapy, Annette spent many years working in the corporate sector and has a solid understanding of issues related to work-related stress and work/life balance.

One of Annette’s favourite descriptions of the therapist-client relationship is that of “fellow travellers” (Irving Yalom), as we are two people navigating the space and meeting what emerges.

Annette’s Fee is €70 per session
