Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Approach

Neil uses an integrative approach that allows him to be flexible in responding to his client’s needs in therapy. Neil begins the work by building a strong therapeutic relationship characterised by
authenticity and empathy. Neil focuses on emotional processing in therapy, with the understanding that change will come through the experiencing and processing of emotion. He uses therapies that have a scientific evidence-base, drawing primarily on psychodynamic psychotherapy and person-centred therapies in his work.
