Psychotherapy Training and Accreditation
Trish holds a Higher Certificate in Applied Social Studies, a BA(Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Dublin Business School, an MA(Hons) in Sexuality Studies from Dublin City University and a postgraduate Diploma in Supervision.
She is an accredited Psychotherapist and Supervisor with the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and a member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH)
Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Approach
Trish is committed to continuing her professional development and participates in clinical workshops in Ireland, the United Kingdom and the United States.
As part of her ongoing training, Trish has trained with the Rape Crisis Centre in Childhood Sexual Abuse: The Counselling Process; HIV Training for Counsellors; Pink Therapy training in Clinical Sexology with Gender, Sexuality and Relationship Diversities; Working with Sexuality: Bodies, Desires and Imagination training with Confer; and Gender Odyssey training in the United States. She has also completed Individual and Couple Gestalt Training (GATLA) and Couples Training in Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT).
Trish utilises an integrative approach making use of a variety of therapeutic models such as Person Centred, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Existentialism and Mindfulness.
Counselling Experience and Areas of Interest
Trish has spent more than 25 years working in various branches in the public sector and has worked in community based counselling centres within the Dublin area for a number of years.
She works with a wide range of issues including anxiety, OCD, bullying, relationship difficulties, self-esteem and personal development and is particularly interested in working with people on issues of sexuality and gender identity.
Trish’s fee is €80 per session
