Psychotherapy Training and Accreditation
Sharon is an experienced clinical psychologist having qualified with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from NUIG in 2007. She is registered with the Psychological Society of Ireland as a Chartered Clinical Psychologist.
Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Approach
Sharon follows a client centred approach based on the needs and preferences of the individual. She uses evidence based strategies from a range of therapies including CBT.
Sharon provides a safe, confidential space where clients can choose to explore their needs at their own pace.
Counselling Experience and Areas of Interest
Sharon has worked in public & private services in both disability & mental health. She has supported people with a range of difficulties including depression, anxiety, eating disorders and adjustment.
She has also completed a range of other trainings including CBT, DBT and compassion/acceptance based therapies.
Sharon has experience working in voluntary services for people who are seeking asylum in Ireland.
Sharon has taught on the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and provided clinical placements & supervision to trainees on this program.
