Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Approach

Jessica’s approach is holistic in nature. She draws from Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy in her practice, with underpinnings in Person Centre Therapy. Jessica is also neuroaffirmative, working with neurodivergent individuals in a strengths based way, where difference is embraced, not discouraged.

Jessica believes that attending therapy is a brave and vulnerable step. She aims to always provide a safe space for her clients, where they can feel seen and heard. Jessica strives to create an atmosphere of warmth and validation, where clients can be comfortable in opening up and feel that their issues are being acknowledged and held. In the creation of a non-judgemental and empathetic space, clients can be met exactly where they are at. Each client’s experience of therapy is different, and Jessica works to adapt and collaborate with each person, based on their needs. Jessica will follow the lead of the client, as they are the expert of their own experiences.
