Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Approach

Debbie’s approach is client centred, humanistic, spiritual and trauma informed. She believes in the clients’ ability to heal themselves and for the human potential to grow and change to be their best possible self. She sees the therapeutic relationship as one which is co-created where the client is given a safe space to be themselves.

While some life transitions may not always need support, Debbie is keen to guide her clients through whatever life challenges may bring them. A deeply sensitive, empathic and compassionate approach is Debbie’s way of being with her clients. She believes a gentle, non-judgmental approach helps the client trust in the process of therapy through the supporting presence of a kind, listening heart. Psychoeducation is a part of her work with clients when they wish to be facilitated to explore this.
