Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Approach

Brenda works with clients in an integrative, holistic way using person-centred, gestalt and psychodynamic approaches. She builds the therapeutic relationship based on respect, empathy and acceptance of each individual and their unique needs. She believes that every individual has the potential for growth through the support of an accepting, safe, and secure environment.

She helps clients safely connect with and release unresolved emotions and physical effects of stress and equips clients with the tools and confidence to feel safe and supported as they engage with their emotional process.

Counselling Experience and Areas of Interest.

Brenda worked as a psychotherapist with Mind and Bodyworks from 2021 to 2022 whilst completing her student psychotherapist training.

She has experience working with issues such as trauma, abuse, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, low self-esteem, shame, relationship challenges, work and educational pressures, and physical manifestations of chronic stress.

She is particularly interested in working with held bodily tension to release trapped emotions. She has experience working with bodily held trauma in this manner since 2008 in her separate profession as a Kairos Therapist (a modality that works with the body to release tension and trapped emotions).

Brenda’s fee is €70 per session.
