Counselling and Therapeutic Approach
One of Breda’s core values is that as relational beings, a good therapeutic relationship is essential for work with clients. She works to provide a safe therapeutic space where clients can become more aware of their emotional life and their drives, allowing for patterns that influence their lives to emerge. From this comes the ability for the client to work towards a better understanding of themselves and how they relate in the world. Breda works with many issues including bereavement, loss, stress, depression, self-esteem, sexual abuse and trauma.
Counselling Experience and Areas of Interest
Breda’s experience has covered work for and with a number of large companies including Bank of Ireland where she was involved with the Employment Assistance Programme (EAP). She has extensive knowledge of Critical Incident Response situations and its aftermath.
She works with groups and with individual clients.
